What comes next

After your consult.

Your first consult is where it starts. From there, two ways to keep going.

Keep seeing Ahrie

Regular exercise physiology appointments, using the rest of your Medicare-covered visits, a health fund rebate or a private fee. Ahrie keeps your GP up to date.

Train with our coaches

When Ahrie says you are ready, train in Semi Private Personal Training: a coach, your own program, six people at most. Ahrie writes and reviews the program; our coaches coach it. It’s optional, and separate from Medicare or DVA care.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Straight answers to what people ask before they join.
Do I need a GP referral?

For the bulk-billed consult, yes: a GP chronic condition management plan with a referral to an exercise physiologist. Without one you can still see Ahrie privately for $95.

How do I get a referral?

Book a longer appointment with your GP and ask whether a chronic condition management plan suits you. Your GP decides whether you are eligible.

How many Medicare-covered visits do I get?

Up to 5 a calendar year under the plan, shared across all allied health, such as physio and exercise physiology.

What should I bring?

Your referral, your Medicare card, and clothes you can move in.

How long is the consult?

30 minutes.

Do I need to be a member of the gym?

No. The consult is open to anyone. If you want to keep training with us afterwards, Ahrie can set you up with a program and our coaches can take it from there.

Do I need a referral for NDIS or DVA?

The NDIS doesn’t need a GP referral. DVA needs a D904 referral or a letter from your GP. Send Ahrie an enquiry and he’ll talk you through it.

Can my GP send the referral directly?

Yes. Your GP can email it to ep@mformfitness.com.au, or give it to you to bring along. The referral form is in the For GPs and referrers section above.
